“After we signed the lease at 3629 Taraval, we started thinking about the logistics of running two cafes,” Lauren Crabbe explains. “We would need more coffee… But how could our little 5-Kilo roaster handle the new demand?” The two have been very mindful to their outer city reaches, supplying their employee’s with easy commutes, “Nearly all of our employees live in the Outer Sunset or Outer Richmond, and we wanted to continue to create jobs in the neighborhood we call home. We set our sights on Taraval yet again,” Crabbe says, and they located an abandoned grocery store between 40th and 41st.

Of course, you can expect the free coffee Saturday’s to be much more abundant. Tomorrow, the coffee roasters will be celebrating in style with a tasting of all their caffeinated goodness. They will be giving away free coffee all day and cutting their ceremonial cake at 3 p.m.
