To celebrate the New Year and the Republic Day in India, OnePlus has announced hefty discounts for all its products in the country. This will be the first time in its history that OnePlus will be giving some kind of discount on its smartphones in India. The sale starts from January 21 and lasts through January 23. During this period, OnePlus will be dropping the price of its 2016 flagship killer, the OnePlus 2 (64GB), to Rs. 22,999. Normally, the phone retails for Rs. 24,999. In addition to the cash discount, you will also get Rs. 500 worth of Kindle e-books free with the purchase of the handset. The prices of the official StyleSwap and tempered screen protector for the handset have also been reduced, so you might want to buy them along with the phone. For the OnePlus X, OnePlus has dropped the price of its Onyx variant by Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 14,999 and made it invite-free as well. The Ceramic variant of the OnePlus X has not received any price cut, but the handset can be purchased without any invite for the next three days. And if for some reason, the OnePlus One still catches your fancy, you can buy the handset for Rs. 17,999, down by Rs. 2,000 from its usual price.
