OnePlus today announced that it will be unveiling the OnePlus 6 on May 16 in London and on May 17 in India. There were rumors of OnePlus unveiling its next smartphone in early May but given that the event would have clashed with Google I/O and LG G7 unveiling, the company might have decided to push the event back.

OnePlus is also selling tickets for the launch event so that interested fans can be the first to experience the device. The tickets are limited in numbers so if you are interested in attending the event, make sure to grab one as soon as possible. Fans who attend the event will get an exclusive The Speed You Need event items along with a mystery gift from the company when they buy the OnePlus 6. For Indian fans, OnePlus will be giving away gift hampers with exclusive Marvel Avengers merchandise. And like always, the company will also be live streaming the event for those of you unable to attend the launch event. OnePlus customers in India will also have the option of buying an Avengers-themed OnePlus 6 in the country. OnePlus has already revealed quite a bit about the OnePlus 6. The handset will come with a Snapdragon 845 chipset and up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. It will also feature a glass back, though there’s no mention of wireless charging support. The front of the device will sport a 19:9 aspect ratio notch OLED display with FHD+ resolution. OnePlus has gone into great detail to explain why it has decided to go with the notch display design on its next smartphone. The improvements also mean that the OnePlus 6 will be slightly more expensive than the 5T.
