OnePlus today detailed their new invite system for the OnePlus 2. The company had already confirmed earlier that the OnePlus 2 will be available via its much criticised invite system, but this time around, it is improving the whole system. Since the company is confident about the demand for the OnePlus 2, it will have significantly more inventory of the handset at launch. The company is claiming an increase in stock levels by 30-50x levels, which translates into more invites being available for everyone. For the OnePlus One, the only way to get an invite initially was through the forums of the company. This time around though, OnePlus will make a reservation list available for customers who are interested in buying the handset but simply don’t have the time to browse their forums for an invite. The company will send out invites to members of the reservation list as soon as they are available, though it will be giving priority to its early forum members first. Additionally, everyone who purchases a OnePlus 2 will be getting shareable invites. Unlike the last time though, shareable invites will arrive “much faster.” How fast? That is still not known, but it definitely looks like OnePlus is now better placed to handle the demand for their handset. While it would have been great that the company would have completely done away with the invite system for the OnePlus 2, it is still great to see the company make efforts to improve the whole experience.
