OnePlus today announced its new smartphone trade-in program for the Indian market. The young company has partnered with ReGlobe who will be handling the buyback of the older smartphone from customers. The trade-in program is available for the OnePlus One, OnePlus X, and OnePlus 2.  Thanks to the invite system, the trade-in program from OnePlus works a bit differently. Interested customers first have to register themselves over at ReGlobe’s website. During the registration process, they will have to share their contact details and which OnePlus smartphone they are interested in buying. At the end of the process, they will receive the “best quote” of their old smartphone. If the total exchange value for your existing smartphone is more than Rs. 5,000, OnePlus will offer you free insurance provided you purchase the OnePlus 2 or OnePlus X. The trade-in program is available in Delhi, NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow and Ahmedabad. The valuation offered by ReGlobe for your existing smartphone is certainly going to be a few thousand bucks lower than what you will get if you sell the device directly in the market. However, by directly trading in the smartphone with OnePlus, you can easily avoid the hassle of hunting for an invite for the device.
