In September of last year, a report surfaced that suggested the successor to the OnePlus One, the OnePlus Two, would debut sometime between the second and third quarter of 2015. Now, a feature published by Bloomberg has reportedly confirmed that OnePlus is planning a third quarter launch for the OnePlus One’s followup. Unfortunately, the report did not corroborate a recent rumor that the OnePlus Two would boast a metal frame, or that the price tag for the predominantly unlocked handset would increase due to the manufacturing change, but the possibility seems likely. The report did also suggest that OnePlus could launch a cheaper handset later in 2015, which would seem to suggest that the company is indeed considering bumping the price for the main flagship smartphone. Right now, OnePlus is looking to expand by finding funds from venture capitalists within the United States, as revealed by the company’s co-founder, Carl Pei. OnePlus has big plans, so it will be interesting to see what happens with it.
