Oppo today launched its new camera focused mid-range smartphone in India under its recently unveiled ‘F’ lineup: the Oppo F1. The handset was officially unveiled by Oppo earlier this month, and now, it is making its way to India. The front of the F1 houses a 5-inch 720p IPS display that is protected by Corning’s 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 4. Under the hood, the handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 chipset clocked at 1.7GHz. It also packs in an Adreno 405 GPU, 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There is also a microSD card slot that can act as a secondary SIM card as well. The rear of the F1 features a 13MP shooter with an F/2.2 aperture and Phase Detection Auto Focus, while the front houses an 8MP shooter with an F/2.0 aperture. On the software front, Oppo has loaded the F1 with ColorOS 2.1, which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The OS comes with features like Beautify 3.0, color filters, and other similar effects. Lastly, the Oppo F1 comes with a 2500mAh non-removable battery, LTE connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 and a microUSB port. Staying true to its camera-centric nature, Oppo will also be bundling a selfie stick with the F1. The handset will be available in White and Gold colors and has been priced at Rs. 15,990.
