New updates are added on July 28, 2020: Finally, the wait is now over, as the Chinese OEM Oppo has pushed the long-awaited Android 10 based ColorOS 7 update for the Oppo R15 Pro. The update is arriving via OTA in batches. As per the official post, the update has a limited quota of 10000 users in India, Thailand, and Malay. The official version of the Android 10 ColorOS 7 update is arriving with version number F.14. Here is the complete changelog of the update:

New updates are added on July 18, 2020: Well, Oppo has decided to increase the ColorOS 7 early adopters quota for the Chinese users. The quota has no room for more 50,000 users and those who could not register themselves earlier with the Android 10 (ColorOS 7) beta program can hop on and will be receiving the beta build within three days. Oppo R15 Pro users are requested to be running the C.68 official ROM in order to be eligible to apply for this increased quota early adopters program.

New updates are added on June 30, 2020: Good news for Oppo R15 Pro (R15 Dream Mirror Edition in China) because the OEM has shared a July 2020 Android 10 (ColorOS 7) update plan which depicts that the Oppo R15 users in China will get the stable Android 10 update from July 25. This piece of info was shared on the official community platform of ColorOS.

New updates are added on June 21, 2020: After serving with the first batch of Android 10 (ColorOS 7) in Australia, the trial program is now live for the Oppo R15 Pro users in India, Thailand, and Malaysia. As per the update roadmap, it was shared that the said program will commence from June 20, and it seems like the company has stuck true to its words. The update will be served with the version number F.12. It is the first batch, the quota is limited to around 2,000 users and if you are also interested in trying your hands on the latest features of the ColorOS 7, you better hurry. What’s on Android 10?

Google has announced the 10th iteration of Android OS in September 2019. It comes with several features and system improvements. To be very specific, the Android 10 version mainly offers better user experience and privacy/security features.

It features System-wide Dark Mode, Gestures Navigation, Wi-Fi & QR Code scanning, improved app sharing menu, improved app permissions, enhanced location privacy control, easy security updates, Focus mode, live caption, family link, multi-camera API, built-in call screening, sound amplifier, better notification control, and more. Oppo R15 Pro Android 10 with ColorOS 7 Update Status

Oppo has just released its roadmap for the ColorOS 7 beta update based on Android 10 for some of its pending compatible devices and Oppo R15 Pro is one of them. Talking about the Q2 plan, the ColorOS 7 (Android 10) trial version will start for Oppo R15 Pro in June 2020. So, there are almost three months remaining to receive the early adopters recruitment announcement.

Then all the interested Oppo R15 Pro users can apply for the beta testing program and a limited number of users will be selected for the beta update roll-out. As there is no official date or week announced yet, you have to wait for it.

Oppo R15 Pro Specifications

The device came with a 6.28-inches 1080×2280 pixels resolution display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It was launched back in April 2018 and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, Adreno 512 GPU. The handset is coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage which is expandable via a hybrid SIM slot.

It sports dual rear cameras of a 16MP (wide, f/1.7) + a 20MP (wide, f/1.7) lens with PDAF, HDR, Panorama, an LED flash, etc. While the handset features a 20MP (wide, f/2.0) selfie camera on the front side with HDR mode. It has a 3,430mAh battery with 20W VOOC Flash Charge support.

The device packs a 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual-band), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, Micro USB 2.0, USB OTG, etc. It features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, compass sensor.
