Recently, a Chinese smartphone launched its amazing smartphone called Oppo Find X. Now it looks like the company planning to bring one more surprise for its fans by unveiling its new technology in its upcoming smartphone, Oppo R17. The Oppo R17 listed on the company’s official China website and revealed specs, price and launch date of the phone. The under display fingerprint scanner, 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB internal storage and tiniest notches.
According to the Oppo’s China website, the R17 comes with 6.4-inch AMOLED display that supports 1080 x 2280 pixels of resolution. The phone also offers 91.5 screen to body ratio. Oppo R17 comes with no bezels on the sides, on the top, there is razor-thin bezel. At the bottom of the display, there is the thickest bezel. It comes with an under display fingerprint scanner which is just 4 sq.mm big and has a 3P Micro Lens for optical reading of the finger.
Oppo R17 powered by recently launched Qualcomm 10nm Snapdragon 670 chipset under the hood along with Octa-Core CPU. But the Octa-Core CPU clocks at two different frequency, the Hexa-Core Kryo 360 CPU clocks at 1.7 GHz while the Dual-core Kryo 260 CPU clocks at 2 GHz. For the better graphics performance, there is an Adreno 615 GPU on board while the ISP is Spectra 250. The phone comes with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage option.
The R17 smartphone will have dual camera sensor on the back side of the phone along with LED flash. There is a 16-megapixel main camera and 5-megapixel secondary camera. According to the company, the Oppo R17 phone camera can read up to 800 scenes. On the front side, there is a 25-megapixel Sony IMX576 camera with F/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls. The selfie camera of the phone comes with AI-backed Portrait mode and a bunch of selfie-focused features support.
The Oppo R17 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box along with the ColorOS 5.2 UI running on top. The latest version of the custom UI may come with voice-activated, info panels and optimized battery performance features. The phone is backed with 3,500 mAh capacity battery inside the body. It also comes with VOOC technology fast charging feature. The R17 will available in Stream Blue or Neon Purple color option.
The company listed the Oppo R17 smartphone on its official China website and taking pre-orders of the phone and the shipping will start from August 18. The phone listed on the website at the CNY99,999 price tag which is equal to $14,500. Which means the listed price is likely a dummy price. The company may also unveil the superior model of the phone, Oppo R17 pro.
