Apple today announced that Oprah’s Book Club is today launching inside Apple Books, and an Apple TV+ show of the same name will be available starting November 1st. The exclusive TV series will feature interviews with authors of the featured books, with new episodes released every two months. The first book pick is “The Water Dancer” by Ta-Nehisi Coates. The book and audiobook can be preordered in Apple Books and will be available to read from tomorrow....

According to research by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the number of screen-sharing scams has almost doubled over the course of a year – and almost half of investors wouldn’t be able to identify that they’re being duped by one. That’s resulted in over £25 million in losses in the UK alone. Many of the attacks target potential investors – including those looking to invest in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency – because if cyber criminals can successfully trick these high-value targets into falling for scams, they can steal significant amounts of money in one go....

The OnePlus team today released a “daily-driver-material” build of OxygenOS 3.0 — based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow — for the OnePlus 2 for community testing before it prepares the rollout of the final OTA. To ensure that the final build is relatively bug free, the team wants its community to test the build for any network, performance and battery life issues. OxygenOS 3.0 also comes with some major improvements to the camera app and performance and the team behind the OS is looking for feedback on it....

Just as Microsoft promised last week, the first major service pack for Office for Mac 2011 is now available. Go to any Office application on your Mac and choose Check for Updates from the Help menu or grab a standalone installer from the Office for Mac website. The 246MB download “fixes critical issues and also helps to improve security,” the release notes say. Also, it includes fixes for “vulnerabilities that an attacker can use to overwrite the contents of your computer’s memory with malicious code....

A good credit score is considered to be above 700 on the 300 to 850-point scale. Very few people breach the near-perfect score of 850, so don’t feel too bad if you come in lower than that. Not even five months after it was first released, the OnePlus 5T is no longer available for sale in the United States. Ocean’s Eight is only the latest spinoff of a previously successful franchise Hollywood has in production, with Warner Bros. hoping this film revitalizes the popular Ocean’s Eleven series. Microsoft says that it has fixed the problems which led to an Office 365 outage lasting more than six hours for some users. The changes may take a little time to propagate, however … A change Microsoft made yesterday saw authentication problems for some users, meaning that they couldn’t gain access to the service. Microsoft said at the time that it was not affecting those who were already logged-in – they would be able to continue their session....

The latest Oneus 3 leak from Blass sure makes it look like the company took some design inspiration from HTC’s latest flagship. In the tweet (featured image is above) you can see a smartphone with a metallic design, a camera that bulges slightly out of the back side, a B-C port 3.5mm headphone jacks.
